The African and Caribbean Voices Association was established in 1999 with an
international remit. It was founded through the drive, determination and foresight
of three senior citizens namely:-Myrtle Laing, Hugh Dwyer and Juliana Bellot.
The purpose of the organisation was to cater for leisure activities of
older people that are of African or Caribbean descent.
ACVA activities originally focused on storytelling and writing, however this
has developed and ACVA now provide a range of training including the co-ordination
of a befriending and information service.
Our Values and Commitments
